A$AP Rocky on Homosexuality & Hip-Hop:
“It’s 2013, and it’s a shame that, to this day, that topic still gets people all excited. It’s crazy. And it makes me upset that this topic even matters when it comes to hip-hop, because it makes it seem like everybody in hip-hop is small-minded or stupid—and that’s not the case. We’ve got people like Jay-Z. We’ve got people like Kanye. We’ve got people like me. We’re all prime examples of people who don’t think like that. I treat everybody equal, and so I want to be sure that my listeners and my followers do the same if they’re gonna represent me.”

HOMOPHOBES LEAVE US ALONE!

I know homophobes are everywhere but they are really starting to annoy me.  Why are Caribbean people so narrow minded, and afraid.  I know it isn’t only Caribbean people who act like this, but I will speak about what I know.  Is it because we are so hell bent on religion, and we are afraid to go to hell.  Religion that for most part we pick and choose the parts that  conveniently fit into our lives.  HOWEVER the lets judge others and make ourselves feel superior part… we want to believe when it is convenient. However when it comes to judging people part of religion we are all on board with that.

OR is it that homophobes have no sense of self control and are so  indiscriminately attracted to anyone of the opposite sex and constantly have want to have sex with people against their will… That they AUTOMATICALLY assume that gay people want to have sex with EVERYONE of their gender.

STRAIGHT people get over yourselves. NO one wants you and no one invited you to play.  Go light a candle for your own sorry asses and leave us alone.

On Being a Caribbean Lesbian: The Gay closet

onbeingacaribbeanlesbian:

The proverbial gay closet isn’t a fancy walk-in closet. It isn’t carpeted and lined with shelves of decandent clothes, and shoes, and lit to the nines, mirrors everywhere to show you only at your best. No no no! The Proverbial gay closet is an overstuffed, stinky hallway closet. Near the front…

Staceyann Chin: “Resistance through Poetry”

Being a lesbian was my gateway, a passport to the world of activism. I’m one of the millions who come from poverty, but through struggle, caprice and an inclination to book learning, made it to the middle class. All through…………….
